AWIC Volunteer Event – Wagons for Girls Scouts

Great photos by Jessica Hochreiter, from the Engineering Communications Office, of the Advancing Women in Construction (AWIC) wagon event.  AWIC students and mentors were at the Urban Systems Engineering building on Janaury 18th to help 4th and 5th grade Girl Scouts kick off their cookie season by building something to transport their cookies. Girls Scouts built and decorated troop wagons with the help of ASU’s Advancing Women in Construction and volunteers.  Tip of the hat to Dr. Edd Gibson, Director of SSEBE, Associate Dean Jim Collofello and Dean Paul Johnson of the Ira A. Fulton Schools of Engineering for coming out on a Saturday morning and helping out.
